Beyond Basic: Creating Extraordinary Portraits for Every Stage of Life

Intermediate Level

Learn how to create expressive and engaging portraits of children of all ages. From the pregnant mother, to babies, toddlers, children and teens , Master Photographer Jennifer George-Walker shares her passion from capturing that exceptional childhood image. Jennifer's hands-on workshop will take you from becoming more creative with your portrait imagery to demonstrating how to produce the "soul of the child". As the winner of both California Professional Photographer of the Year 2001 and California Family Photographer of the Year in 2004, George-Walker has the expertise and experience to teach every level of photographer from beginner to advanced.

During a week long workshop, each day one aspect from childhood photography

is completely covered from working with the client, to design elements, to technical information & photoshop to marketing. Day one instruction in pregnancy and newborn photography is composed of teaching: posing, working with the client, how to dress, set up the lighting, capture, retouch and finally sell and marketing the images. Beyond Basics is a full week of mini-workshops, each one self-contained and full of invaluable information for the working photographer.

“Working with Jennifer is a truly inspiring experience”
